Gracies Grotto Cabin Tiny Homes with Big Personality

Overpriced and misrepresented Positive: The location and the views are great Negative: Gracie’s Grotto Cabin was advertised as a “whole chalet” with a living room and separate bedroom, plus breakfast included. What we found was a space barely big enough to fit two people, a pit toilet, a shower that looked put together rather haphazardly, and the linens in the loft bed were questionable. The access to said loft was through a rather flimsy ladder not even secured against it so getting up and down was an ordeal. No breakfast was provided either. The staff were friendly and nice, but we cut our stay short to one night because it wasn’t what we had expected and the space was so uncomfortable. Overall, it was very overpriced for what it actually was.

Wish I’d stayed elsewhere. Positive: Location & view Negative: Though the cabin is only a year old, it feels quite dated/musty. The construction of the cabin was questionable - water from the shower builds up under the bathroom floor and splashes up as you walk. The rungs on the ladder to the loft were insufficiently secured. The light switch in the loft didn’t work, etc etc. Felt cobbled together. It felt more rustic than camping, and was over priced.

Positive: The restaurant was nice; the view was good. Negative: Shower is not sealed at all, when you take a shower, the water goes under the laminate floor and you feel the water below the floor, which means there is mold there. No mosquito nets on windows, so how can you open them at night? The cabin looks cozy, but is very small and has shoddy work all around. Overpriced for the value.
